Space propulsion engineering

Propulsion, engineered around your mission.

We design propulsion systems and solve the engineering around them for small-satellite missions. Founded in La Plata, Argentina, by aerospace engineers trained at the National University of La Plata.

Propulsion

Three ways to use it

Station-keeping manoeuvre diagram

Station-keeping

Hold the orbit your mission needs, for as long as it needs it.

Orbit transfer manoeuvre diagram

Orbit transfer

Move between orbits after deployment, up or down.

Deorbiting manoeuvre diagram

Deorbiting

Bring the satellite down at end of life and leave nothing behind.

Same framing, same scale, same Earth in all three. Sized to the mission, not the other way around.

How we work

Engineered around your mission

We start from the mission, not from a catalogue. Requirements, envelope, power and mass drive the sizing; the hardware follows. Every product on this site carries its development status, and every figure carries target or measured.

  1. 01 Mission requirements and constraints
  2. 02 Sizing, analysis and trade-offs
  3. 03 Design, CAD and drawings

Engineering

What we do around the hardware

Mechanical testing

Vibration, shock and static load campaigns, planned and run against your requirements.

Aerospace component design

Brackets, housings, fluid components and mechanisms, from concept to manufacturing drawings.

Structural analysis

FEM on flight structures: stiffness, strength, margins and the report to back them.

Thermal analysis

Orbital thermal environments, radiator sizing and the balance of your payload.

Fluid dynamics (CFD)

Internal flows, nozzles and injectors, validated against test data where it exists.

Where this goes

Phase 1 · Propulsion

Thruster
CAD

Thruster

First model delivered by the team: 1374 mm, 24 parts. Every drawing on this site is projected from that CAD.

Thruster.STEP · Cycles · orbit light

Phase 2 · Bus

Refillable water bus
concept

Refillable water bus

A small-satellite platform whose water tank can be topped up in orbit. Payload volume stays free.

Concept model · Cycles · orbit light

Phase 3 · Kick stage

Deploy and refuel in orbit
concept

Deploy and refuel in orbit

A kick stage that places the buses and comes back to refill them. This is the direction, not a product.

Concept model · Cycles · orbit light

Satellites that never run out of propellant: a refillable water bus, and a kick stage that deploys and refuels them in orbit. Phase 1 comes from the delivered CAD; phases 2 and 3 are concept models with no specs.

Background

Trained where Argentina builds spacecraft

EGA Space was founded in 2023 by two aerospace engineers from the National University of La Plata, with years of hands-on work in its aerospace laboratory since 2020. The name comes from home. The work speaks the language of any mission.
